    <description>Hi Ian,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are they Sata hard drives?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As per quickspecs&lt;BR /&gt;SATA Hot Plug 3.5"  &lt;BR /&gt;Supported Controllers&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;HP Smart Array E200/128 BBWC Controller&lt;BR /&gt;HP Smart Array P400/256MB Controller&lt;BR /&gt;HP Smart Array P400/512MB BBWC Controller&lt;BR /&gt;HP Smart Array P800/512MB BBWC Controller &lt;BR /&gt;NOTE: Hot plug capability and drive LED status support requires installation of one of the controllers or HBAs listed above.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Smart array p212 is also supported but not recommended to connect internal drives.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;P212 controller does support hotplug and drive LED. However, need to make sure you have correct cable set.&lt;BR /&gt;NOTE: Any Smart Array Controller requires the purchase of the HP SAS Cable ML310&lt;BR /&gt;G5 (460310-B21).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If your setup is correct, then trying updating the controller firmware.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Aftab&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;Hi, this should be a quickie .. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Does the Smart Array P212 support drive led status?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have an ML310 G5 with a P212 installed and the drives are not showing any activity but the server is working fine.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
