topic Memory Question in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

Recently purchased a few DL360 G7.
I've recently implemented these servers in my environment. The servers came with 6gb(3x 2gb chips), as ordered. The memory chips were all on one side of the board. However I later ordered an additional processor for each unit. Should I add additional memory so that an even amount is on each side? Or will the memory work efficiently lined up in this manner? The Windows 2008r2 recognizes all 6gb.
Current Memory Config:
PROC 1 DIMM 1G Not installed
PROC 1 DIMM 2D Not installed
PROC 1 DIMM 3A 2048 MB 1333 MHz
PROC 1 DIMM 4H Not installed
PROC 1 DIMM 5E Not installed
PROC 1 DIMM 6B 2048 MB 1333 MHz
PROC 1 DIMM 7I Not installed
PROC 1 DIMM 8F Not installed
PROC 1 DIMM 9C 2048 MB 1333 MHz
PROC 2 DIMM 1G Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 2D Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 3A Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 4H Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 5E Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 6B Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 7I Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 8F Not installed
PROC 2 DIMM 9C Not installed

Thanks for any info.

Hi.

The HP Memory Configuration Tool recomends that you buy one more 2GB DIMM.

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/options/tool/hp_memtool.html

And place them in Proc_1:3A, Proc_1:6B, Proc_2:3A and Proc_2:6B.

I would recomend that you buy 3 more 2GB DIMMS and fill all 6 Channels.

// Jorgen
