When trying to install Windows Server 2008 from the internal CD-ROM during the boot process - I get the following error during the pre-installation process:

Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD ROM drive that is failing.
Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and restart your computer.
If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.

Status: 0xc00000e9

Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.

I have tried using a USB CR-ROM rather than the internal - no go. I have swapped the order fo the SCSI drives - no go. I have recreated logical drives on the RAID controller - no go.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

2008 R2 requires firmware upgrades on most HP servers. You want the latest firmware and drivers.

OK, i test the Installation with W2k8r2 Action Pack Installation and now no Errors. I think the Problem is the OEM HP w2k8r2 CD PartNumber 589280-021.

Can you confirm this?
