topic BL20p G3 ILO Issue in HPE ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

After installing two new BL20p G3 servers in a enhanced enclosure (with GbE2 interconnects) I've been unable to access the ILO ports.

To keep things simple I've been trying to get it to work on VLAN 1 but so far the ILO card does not seem to be getting an address via DHCP.

ILO Firmware: 1.75
GbE2 Interconnect Firmware: 2.2
Operating System: Windows 2003
Default Vlan: 1 (Vlan tagging is not in use at the moment.)

Both servers can DHCP without issue it's only the ILO cards that cannot. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Since it's the enhanced enclosure, the ILOs don't run through the blade switches. They have their own little unmanaged switch/hub within the chassis.

Is the ILO port on the enclosure connected?

(Your mention of a VLAN suggested to me that you're trying to work through the blade switches.)

Using the ILO port on the Enhanced encolsure backplane does indeed work. Using interconnect method as used in the older encolsures does not work anymore.
