Hi

There might be an issue with the harddisk, you can run the diagnostics on the server to make sure ,since this is a new server you should be in warranty,hp should be able to replace the defective disk.

Rgds

HGN

Confusing, what type of noise you monitor from ML150, also Generation x?
Is noise from HDD or actual Fan or Buzzer / sound? Grind, squeaky ... after O/S loads, boot to any bootable medial and let it stand for longer - can you detect same noise?
Sounds to me as if the Hard Disk has a mechanical problem, bearing noise. This is a common problem with the OEM disks HP uses. No diagnosics will show any problem if the bearing is just bad.
Replace the drive.
