Hi

Well I've wasted a lof of time looking for the firmware update for this 2×1×16 IP Console Switch w/ Virtual Media (AF601A) but I just can not find it

this one but https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_f3c15b0f84664429b3fcec6eca
but it's for:
262585-B21, 1x1x16 KVM/IP CNSL SW
262586-B21, 3x1x16 KVM/IP CNSL SW

so anything has an idea where I can find it?

Hello Karlo,

I believe You have already found it !!!!

The link you mentioned is the firmware update. There is no other firmware update file available for ip console switch.

You are looking for 2x1x16 with virtual media.
& if you read carefully the link you have got reads " Added support for the new USB virtual media Interface Adapters for KVM functions only. The HP IP Console Switch 1x1x16 & 3x1x16 does not support Virtual Media. "

Supported devices mentions "KVM/IP Console Switch" which will include your 2x1x16.

The reason the other 2 are mentioned separately is, i believe, since they dont support virtual media; but again; this firmware update is for them... tooo !!

I hope this ends the speculation !

Yes, I know it is not mentioned specifically.
I wonder Y. But this is the Firmware to be used.
Give it a try, if its not, It will report that the Hardware is not supported.

This will take u to SOFTWARE for ip console.
If you notice, There is a link for "upgrade the HP IP Console Switch Firmware Update for Windows to version 3.0.11 or greater"
However, this will take U to firmware for linux & not windows. Its all messed up.

Believe you me, even I spent quite some time figuring this out !!!!

I got an update;

The latest firmware for the 2x1x16 should be version 1.0.19.1. It is not yet available for download and probably wonâ t be for at least a week or two.
