hi AustinL

that server has by default:
Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter
that's why you're getting that message because you don't have any device attached to the SCSI controller like HDDs or tapes, don't worry this message dos not affect server and can be ignored.
why because if you had SCSI devices attached to the SCSI controller message would be
"SCSI BIOS successfully installed"

and as you say it also have:
Smart Array 641 Controller

so if you say that HDD is plug to the smart array please check cabling to be complete sure the drive cage is connected to the smart array, link page 122
http://tinyurl.com/3ayzle

if so use smartstart CD to get the installation done, that tool will help you to install windows much easier

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316537&prodNameId=3279705&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-b40f7d0a6c984e95a9b7850f74

regards

Maintain Server, Array configuration utility to create RAID

Deploy Server to install Windows.

regards

I currently have a ml350 g3 server with no operating system installed. It has one ultra320 SCSI 72.8GB hard drive. When I turn the server on it has a smart array 641 boot controller that is a logical drive which seems to be on the hard drive. The computer types on the screen "No SCSI BIOS installed". When I try to load Windows Server 2003, the computer doesn't recognize any storage devices. How can I get the computer to recognize the one hard drive I have within the computer?
