hello.

i'm just switched one of the disks in DL360 G4p server and now on boot it shows me following message:

Slot 0 HP Smart Array 6i Controller (192MB, v2.68) 1 Logical Drive
1770-Slot 0 Drive Array - Disk Drive Firmware Update Recommended -
Please upgrade firmware on the following drive model(s) using ROM Flash
Components (download from www.hp.com/support/proliantstorage):
Model BF03685A35 (minimum version = HPB4)

but proliantstorage page shows generic search page for HP products. Can you please help me, where to download my firmware update?

hi,

easiest way will be to use firmware maintenance cd :

when you boot from the CD you have the option to choose what to update or to update everything(which is also recommended)

8.20 didn't helped, since this BF03685A35 disk should be too old for 8.20 firmware update cdrom. Just called HP support and they suggested to search for BF03685A35 in products, and i've found link to firmware update, will try and report back soon. Thanks again.

At least version 8.1 has it:

Offline
ROM Flash Component - BF03685A35 drives
HPB8(C)
CP008005.scexe

So probably v.8.2 has it too ...

loop mounted 8.20 iso and searched for like CP008005.scexe filename, not found.

downloaded 8.10, searched and found needed file, then was able to update HP hdd.

Hi Anatoly,

use FW CD 8.10 and you will update your hd firmware, and dont worry.
But I recommend you to update all HDD's firmware, then update and controller firmware just in case.
