ML 350 G5 how to check HDDs w/o OS installed

Hi,

is it possible to check the harddrives before installing any OS? Seatools isnt able to detect the drives, is guess due to the controller, the drives are attached to... I was wondering if there's any diagnosis tool/cd from hp?

Hi!

Yes there are a diagnostic function on the Smartstart CD that can make a few harddrive tests and many other nice tests

I'm going to use the smartstart CD to check the server HDDs.
