I've instaled a G6 Ml 350 whith Windows Small Busibess Server 2008 and Sql 2008 server for sbs. For some reason de aplication that creates databases in Sql is to slow. To creat a simple Database it takes about 7 minutes. I've made de same instalation on a Hp Ml350 G5 and the same process is done in 50 second's. How can'i resolve this problem?

I had same problem and it was because server did not have battery for P410i RAID controller. Had to buy battery separate. Then make sure to enable write cache in acu (array configuration utility).

yes sql does really nead cache and battery preferances for read write should be selected after using msoft tol that monitors sql read writes, usually option is 70% 30%<BR /><BR />but you are just installing the data base and have not got so far yet correct..
