      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have 1783 Smart array error on boot ...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- removed ram+battery and reinstalled&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- removed entire array controller and reinstalled&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- re-updated ROM system&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- replaced array controller&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have the same problem...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On array controller there are more leds. Three are orange...i don't know if is good this..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is a manual service to see status leds?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are other operations to solve this problem ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Alberto&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey, what is this installed in?&lt;BR /&gt;Are there more PCI slots that you can try it in?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Clear NVRAM?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Firmware update on the card?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe it's the RAM on it that's broken?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It's installed on old ML370 (667MHz x 2).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's is installed on pci slot 3....but i have tested on 4,5,6....same result!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How i can clear NVRAM ???? What's NVRAM ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can't update firmware.... i have Boot the server from media that contains the ROM Update Utility ...but it don't see a smart array controller !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have replaced it's ram with another ram (64Mb&amp;gt;128Mb) ....but don't solve a problem..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;NVRAM may be possible to clear via a DIP switch on your system board, unsure if this was available on these old servers though.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I have cleared NVRAM and i have re-writted the bios.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Same problem :-(&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If there is manual service of Smart Array 5300 i can send you leds status on 5300 board.....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are any test or solutions ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Alberto&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>So also the "BIOS" for the SmartArray card? What firmware is on it?</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;with&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Offline ROM Flash for SmartStart Maintenance: ROM Update Utility - Smart Array 5300&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the Smart Array 5300 don't appears in the firmware updates...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In array confguration system Smart Array 5300 or array diagnostic, the system looking the device always....but after 10 minutes it looking always&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have removed battery, not for 1 minute...but for 12 hours...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On the boot...the error is the same..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
