DL 380 G3 random reboots...

I'm sorry for my english.

One of the servers was randomly reboots.

The server is overloaded in different ways (once a day, every day, etc.)

The regularity of the problem is absent.

It is noticed that the server can also be reloaded indefinitely (for example, after checking Raid controller, and before loading the operating system).

1. Installed latest Firmware for DL 380 G3

2. Installed latest drivers on Win 2003

3. Tried to change the power cable, power supply, hard disks, processors, memory - not result

In Event viewer and IML log - empty.

In iLO event Log: Server power removed, Server power restored

How can I locate the problem?

Hey,

have you checked/swapped incoming power?

If possible, try to reseat / check other components.

Like PCI riser board - reseat perhaps?

Does this model have power backplane?

Please consult the Service & Maintenance Guide for Proliant DL 380 G3:

Following link will help you locating parts in server:

Check Power Source, if UPS is working properly.

Check for UPS rating and online status.

Check for any loose power connections/cabling.

Please reseat power supply, all riser boards and power connectors and see if it resolves problem. Did you check health indicator on front LED pannel if it is Amber? If yes check all LEDs indicators inside system for further diagonsis, you can find LED indications & error details in Service and Maintenance Mannual.

I hope above information will help you identifying and eliminating problem source.

Do you have redudant power supplies? Based on the messages you are seing, it definately seems like its just completely losing power.

If you already do have redundant power, then it'd appear to be a bad motherboard.
