topic Adding a second RAID controller in Linux in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

Hello,

I have an HP ML350 G4, that we installed a 2 bay drive cage. The current RAID 641 controller is connected to the 6 bay on the server, and the controller is sitting in Slot 3.

We ordered a 642 controller and installed it into slot 5, when reboot the the drives that were on RAID 641 moved to a different device number.

I know that the device number on slot 3 is 2, and on slot 5 is 1, so I figured that is why the drive on the 641 had moved. So to the question is, if we moved the 641 controller to slot 5, and the 642 to slot 3 would it cause any issue with the RAID configurations we have?

Thanks
