Controller Emulex LP1050 not detected in ACU

Hi guys,

i'm trying to modify some array settings on MSA1000 connected to a DL580 through an Emulex LP1050 Controller. The DL580 hase also a Smart Array P400 Controller onboard. Both with ACU offline ed ACU trough HP SmartStart CD the Emulex LP1050 is not recognized; using ACU I can choose only the P400 controller.

If I look at the hardware configuration using the dedicated option on SmartStart CD, i find the Emulex LP1050 regularly.

Any ideas?

The question is misleading, because the FC HBAs are never detected in ACU.

But the MSA has to be detected, unless the access is prevented by SSP inside the MSA.

You should check the SSP settings first (selective storage presentation).

First of all, thanks for your help.

In this moment I cannot connect directly on MSA1000 because i don't have the RJ-45Z cable.

How can I check SSP setting in alternative way?

Another attempt might be to connect on MSA1000 through ESXI5 installed on the DL580. But I think that is very difficult for me because I know little about linux.

I also thought of installing a Windows VM with wich to access to MSA1000, but I read in some forums that you can not.

Any other suggestions?

Has this DL580 access to any other LUN on this MSA?

If there are switches between, please check for correct zoning.

I'm Facing problem with LPe1050 Controller.

LPe1050 controller is detecting at the time POST but issue with the HP SMH page , In SMH page Lpe 1050 controller is not detceting ,i have installed the drivers from emulex website, please tell me what i need do next it would be helpfull
