I have a DL380 G4 that I installed ESXi 4 on last week (just hypervisor). Haven't been able to do anything yet with it due to the network link dropping about an hour to hour and a half after being booted, re-started, or even un-plugged and plugged back in. Not sure whats going on.

I would upgrade firmware of the nic, but all i have installed is the VM Hyper visor , no OS so none of the firmware upgrades i can find will flash just the nics with out a base OS install of Windows or Linux

OK...firmware updated on server, network still dropping after about an hour. Any one here have any experience with VSphere 4 update 1 on a G4. Everything is working except for the network dropping.
