Can I upgrade my DL160G6 with IPMI or similar technology?

Good day!

Our company is using DL160 G6 servers. I wanted to know if it is possible to install IPMI or a similar technology ? So far we have no possible way to reboot when the system freezes, go into BIOS etc. from remote. We would really love to have this option because the servers aren't right around the corner. We have a port at the back of the server that sais MGMT but is not usable. I was wondering if we could upgrade this now or what other possibilites we have?

Yes you can upgrade to IPMI, DL160 G6 can have Optional LO100i 10/100 Mbps LAN port for dedicated IPMI management (RJ-45)

You have to purchase this card : 516806-001 [ Management Port Board - Lights-Out 100 (LO-100) dedicated management port kit ]
