      <description>&lt;P&gt;Getting the BIOS version with Linux:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using only standard Linux tools:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;run "dmidecode | less" and check the BIOS Information section.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the hp-health package is installed:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;# hpasmcli -s "show server"&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Getting the SmartArray information (including the firmware version) if the hpacucli package is installed:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;# hpacucli
hpacucli&amp;gt; ctrl all show config detail&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
