Install RHEL6 on DL380p Gen8

Hi All,

This is urgent. I am stuck at the first step of installation RHEL6 on HP DL380 Gen8. It seems cant found the installation media using the Intelligent Provisionning.

I have tried to install manually, but suddenly RHEL6 cant detect the driver for the media.

Anyone have the installation guideline for installing rhel6 on dl380p gen8?

Please disable the VID (Virtual Install Disk) in RBSU and try again.

RHEL 6.1 is the minimum supported version on this system.

I am able to run the installation media after updated the firmware.

However, i still not able to see the disk which i made with raid 6.

It seems can't detect the storage array controller driver.

how would it be done?

What version of RHEL are you trying to install? If it is RHEL 6, it won't see the disk, you need to use at least RHEL 6 update 1

RHEL 6.0 for servers. SO do I have to download new ISO? Or there is a way to deploy Update 1

You can update a running system to 6.1, but for a new install, you need to download the 6.1 .ISO image as the boot initrd has all the newer drivers in it.
