DL360 g5 won't take keyboard/mouse input on ilo virtual console (loaded with fc17)

I have a dl360 g5 loaded with fc17. When the OS is booted, though, I am unable to use the keyboard/mouse in the virtual console of ILO2. Duiring POST, the keyboard and mouse work fine. During grub, I can use the arrow keys to move around the boot menu and select the kernel I want. But, when it's booted, the keyboard and mouse are ignored in the virtual console. The physical keyboard (both USB and PS/2) works fine at all times.

I tried booting KNOPPIX and the keyboard/mouse in the virtual console seem to work fine at all times. So this problem seems specific to fc17 only.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Is this the same in both integrated remote console and the JAVA?

If you unplug the physical keyboard/mouse - does it work then?

This problem occurs in both the integrated remote console and the java remote console.

This problem persists whether the physical keyboard is plugged in or not.

I forgot to mention that I've tried a myriad of clients (IE, Firefox, Chrome) on two OS's (xp and fc16) and this issue is experienced on all clients. Admittedly, once I established that the problem was not present when the DL360 was booted into KNOPPIX, I ceased trying to test other clients.

I should mention that USB is turned on in the BIOS (I've read that it can cause issues if it's turned off).

So uh, is fc17 supported?

Try with a suppored OS such as a RHEL6 or 5 clone (Scientific Linux for example).

Your OS must be missing the UHCI driver. iLO Virtual KB/Mouse are connected to an UHCI device inside the iLO Chip. If the OS isn't loading an UHCI driver, the OS won't see the iLO Virtual KB/Mouse behind it.

Have you tried to start the " haldaemon " service? i had a similar problem in a RHEL6 and with haldaemon running the keyboard/mouse works fines.
