They are PCI Express slots (also known as PCIe). They are not physically compatible with regular PCI nor PCI-X, sorry.

Wikipedia has a good set of basic information on PCIe:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pci_express

Quickspecs for ML310 G5:

http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12858_div/12858_div.HTML

Hi All,

Trying to figure out what sort of card fits in the slots on MoBo. It appears that the slots are smaller than PCI ? I'm puzzled.

Anyone got any advice !

Cheers Mike
