Hi folks,

I've recently installed a second processor in our server as well as Fan 4 into the system, however during bootup I get an error that Fan4 is not installed and the server shuts down. Anybody have this issue before? Also, are all 4 fans required for a dual proc configuration? I only have fans 2, 3, and 4 installed at the moment.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Maybe the cable for fan4 is not prperly connected? The manual says fans 1 and 4 are optional (for redundancy). This is different to the ML350p Gen8.

It's definitely connected properly, I even swapped two of the fans. I should say this is the first time bringing it up, I never booted it with 1 processor.

I found the same information about the "p" model, but "e" model was different.

However, if you swapped already the fans and it is surely in slot 4 not 1, then the board has most likely a problem.
