i have just got a proliant dl280 g5 server and i would like to connect my old arrays form my dl380 G3 to the new server but i cant find a SCSI card that will do what i would like

i have 1

HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 500 G2

and 2

Compaq StorageWorks 4314R SCSI HD Enclosureall

of them uses VHDCI conectors.all i want a SCSI card that supports raidcan any one help

Hi Dan,

Yes this is the reccomended card for U320 SCSI Array controller on the DL380G5.

To get this to run you will also have to purchase the following riser:- Mixed Riser Cage Option Kit (PCI-E/PCI-X) 410570-B21 these are available for around £50 on eBay, probably less if your in the USA.

Hi Mark,

I've been asked to connect two old U160 Arrays to a DL380-G5. I speced the 273914-B21 and relaized I need Mixed Riser Cage Option Kit (PCI-E/PCI-X) 410570-B21. Besides the SCSI cables to connect the arrays to the 273914-B21 card are there any other cables needed?

Would you know if there are Windows 2012 drivers for the 273914-B21 available as well?

I found Windows Server 2012 will install working drivers but is not supported by HP. HP supports 2008 R2 with drivers install packages.
