Hi,

I have a Gen 8 DL360p new server that will not boot basically I think the server tries to go thru post but comes back with a system red blinking light and also the psu lights come up. I know the psu are OK because I tried then on a different server (DL360p gen8). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Just go through basic troubleshooting:

Remove additional RAM.

Remove any PCI cards if installed.

Disconnect any external devices that are not necessary for booting.

If server has two processors, remove the second processor and test with only one processor.

Clear NVRAM from System Maintenance Switch.

Thank You!
I am a HP employee
__________________________________________
Was the post useful?

I have done all the troubleshooting you suggested what is interesting is the server always stops with 2 psu lights on (on the control panel) and the system light blinking red. Also before the system halts I have notice the uid comes on and blinks 3 times. Thanks again for your help.
