      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello to all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have an ML310 Gen 8 with Non-Hot Plug Hdd Installed 4 x1TB (B120 Controller on board) and i would like to upgrade with an Smart Array P222 or Smart Array P420 controller&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I check the quickspecs and its compatible both.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A target="_blank" href="http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14339_na/14339_na.pdf"&gt;http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14339_na/14339_na.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do i need extra cables to connect non hot plug drives with controller?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>The SAS cable will be disconnected from the system board (B120i) and plugged into the P420 card.&lt;BR /&gt;That's it.&lt;BR /&gt;According to the specs this kind of roaming is supported for these controllers (data will survive).</description>
