I need to be able to remotely retrieve and parse iLo logs for specific hardwre failures. This will replace walking thru the lab looking for amber/red lights on proliant servers.

I was excited to find the HP iLO Cmdlets for Powershell, but disapointed to learn they only work with iLo 3 and 4.

Are there any solutions out there?

Thx in advance.

cheers!

You can use the HP Lights-Out XML Scripting Sample for Windows to get both the iLO Log and the server IML logs. Included in the package is cpqlocfg.exe for windows and the locfg.pl Perl script for remote iLO access. You can also use these XML files with "hponcfg" locally on a host. You will want to look at "Get_iLO_Log.xml" and Get_IML.xml"
