The process is trying to start a CD ROM. The Blade servers have no CD ROM. I need to know how to disable the system from looking for a CD ROM.

Could you please post all messages (and all concerning messages) from the system event log? Is it starting service or driver? If service then you can go to PC management and 'disable' service on startup. If driver, then you may have any device identified as CDROM by the system. Find for which device (in device manager) and post it here also.
Reading MS KB I see that this file cdralw2k is a WMP (windows media player) file.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;269605&
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;165863&
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;317224&
So please uninstall / reinstall / install new WMP. Apply SP3. I saw articles stated that CD-RW software can cause these problems.
Eugeny

The error comes from the SYSTEM event log.

Source: Service Control Mgr
Type: Error
EventID: 7000
Description:
The Cdrawlw2k service failed to start due to the following error. The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

I just found the error. One of the other SA's installed WMP on the system that installs CD R/W software. I uninstalled WMP and the CD R/W software and the error went away. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
