Hi,

I have DL580 G5 server i like to know the physical location of the sensors in server .I go through the all docuement given by HP but it doesn't have any information about physical location of sensors.

the sensors, it is a specific technology into Gen8 servers.

Right now in HP DL580 G5 server 9 Temperature sensors but i want to find out the location of the sensors .

where these sensors are located ?

Ex . Ambient temperature sensor where exactly it located ; is there any docuemntation is avaliable if so can you provide me the same

"Ambient" means the sensor is measuring the air around the server, the air the server's fans are pulling in.

No docuemntation from HP having information about sensor location in server for G5 server's

it is a technology invented for servers, G6, G7 and G8.
you find on each component a thermal sensor for those generation of servers only [G6, G7 and G8].
