We have 2 Proliant DL360 G6 servers and both seem to be running fine but regularly say 2 - 3 times a week we get the following from HP Sim.

Event Name: (SNMP) Logical Drive Status Change (3034)
URL: https://SERVERNAME:2381/
Event originator: SERVERNAME
Event Severity: Warning
Event received: 10-Apr-2010, 08:55:14

Event description: Logical Drive Status Change. This trap signifies that the agent has detected a change in the status of a drive array logical drive. The variable cpqDaLogDrvStatus indicates the current logical drive status.

Location: Slot 0
Board Status: rebuilding

Like I said this happens quite regularly and would like to know why this keeps occuring.

Also noticing alot of these in event viewer when the above occurs.

A SAS physical drive located in bay 4 was removed. The drive can be found in box 1 which is attached to port 1I of array controller P410i

and

A drive failure notification has been received for the SAS physical drive located in bay 4. This drive can be found in box 1 which is connected to port 1I of the array controller P410i [Embedded]. The failure reason received from the HP Smart Array firmware is: REMOVED_IN_HOT_PLUG.

The server itself is running fine and no problems.
I recommend to upgrade:
1) P410i firmware to version 3.66
2) SAS backplane to version 1.18
3) HDDs firmware
Can you give models of your HDDs (for example EG0300FARVV)?
