Naming of firmware updates for ProLiant servers

Hi there,

can someone explain what is the difference between updates with / without add on (A) or (B)?

E.g. recently the "** CRITICAL ** Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - HP ProLiant ML350 G6 (D22) Servers" was mentioned in an alert email. The Version of the update is 2013.07.02 (B) (25 Aug 2014).

Is this different from the version 2013.07.02 without the add on or with the add on (A)?

Is it necessary to apply this update when the server is already running version 2013.07.02 without add on?

The Firmware is the same.

It is the installation package that has been improved (bugfix of the package).

So if you allready have upgrade the FW or drive using the old package, you don't need to re-upgrade :)

But on future upgrades use the new package :)
