Hi, I have an old proliant ml350 g5 fitted with 2 dual core xeon 5120 processors. It is running very successfully windows home server v1( this OS is based on windows server 2003). I checked the motherboard part number and it is capable of running quad core processors, checking on ebay the price of quad core processors is now within my budget so I purchased 2 E5430 quad core xeons off ebay. When I fitted them the server started ok but failed to get to post, fans running loud and fast. Refitted the old processors server now running fine. So, I thought the bios or motherboard firmware needs updating. Can anyone tell me the files i need to download? The firmware dvd requires a support contract as far as I can find out, which i do not have. (The server was sold to me cheaply from my place of work due to water damage, i bought new components from hp and got the server up and running). Thanks
