I have a DL 120 G9 with this cofiguration:

HP Dynamic Smart Array B140i RAID Controller

Controlador HP H240 Smart HBA with a HP 300GB 12G SAS 10K 2.5IN SC ENT HDD

- Is there any hypothesis of use as well the controller HP Dynamic Smart Array B140i RAID Controller with a SATA HD?

- I have a damaged server, DL 380 G5 with 3 good HD's (431958-B21 - HP 146GB 10K rpm Hot Plug SAS 2.5 HD). Can I use them with the Controlador HP H240 Smart HBA of the DL 120?

The B140i only supports SATA drives

The H240 supports both SAS and SATA

The drive backplane in the DL120 can only be connected to one of the controllers

The 2.5" drives from the G5 server have a different drive carrier and will not plug into the Gen9 server

And is it possíble to buy drive carrier for the Gen9 server? If it's possible, do you kow the partnumber?

HP does not offer the hot plug drive carriers as an individual part. if you search you can find some 3rd party carriers that claim to work.
