Adding additional Hard Disk

hi,
I have DL380 G4 with 2 disks of 146 gig in raid 1.
I need to enlarge the volume- I want to add 3 more disk of 146 giga in raid 5.
how can I enlarge the volume with these additional disks ?

Hello,

1) Add two disks to array

2) Change raid level to 5

3) Add last disk to array.

4) Expand logical drive if needed or create new.

Not clear what's the final result you want to achieve...

5 disks in RAID 5?
2 disks in RAID 1 and 3 in RAID 5?
Expand the existing logical drive at the hardware level or create a new one and add it to the existing one using OS tools?

All that is possible...

I need to enlarge the logical drive.
I want to add 3 more disks in raid 5.
so to conclude:
I want to have:
1)2 disk in raid 1 ( that is what I currently have )
2) add 3 disks in raid 5
3) in the end to enlarge the disk space and maintain the current disk structure.

this is applied to Linux as well?
since I have Linux os installed.

Aviram, if you create another RAID and another logical unit with the 3 disks in RAID 5, you'll need to use operating system tools to join that space to the filesystem. Then it's a question for Linux forums.

Create a new RAID and logical unit in ACU is the easy part.
