Okay I finally worked this one out. While the gateway and IP was set there was no DNS entries in the Network page for the iLO. Once I put a DNS entry in here I was able to register my unit. Hopefully now it will allow me to download files from the HPE site.

How do I get my DL360P registered so that I can download updates/tools for it?

I tried from the iLO but it keeps saying it cannot connect even though it has a clear route to the internet and everything else on it can find things. I tried registering it directly on the HPE site under Add Device but cannot enter any details for it to be able to register it.
