Hello,

The raid controller is a P222. I can use hpacucli to get information about the controller and drives.

The system frequently becomes slow. CPU load is normal, I think it's most likely because of disk io problems.
I wanted to check if the hp snmp agents or the hp management homepage show some errors but neither of them can access useful information.

If I start hp-snmp-agents I get the error mentioned in the first post:

Sep 19 19:08:48 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: (check_ilo2): Error Code (1) "CPQCIDRV driver is not loaded."
Sep 19 19:08:48 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: The Integrated Lights-Out Management Processor is not responding!
Sep 19 19:08:48 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: Sleeping 30 seconds and will retry . ..
Sep 19 19:09:19 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: (check_ilo2): Error Code (1) "CPQCIDRV driver is not loaded."
Sep 19 19:09:19 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: The Integrated Lights-Out Management Processor is not responding!
Sep 19 19:09:19 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: Sleeping 30 seconds and will retry . ..
Sep 19 19:09:49 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: (check_ilo2): Error Code (1) "CPQCIDRV driver is not loaded."
Sep 19 19:09:49 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: The Integrated Lights-Out Management Processor is not responding!
Sep 19 19:09:49 servername hpasmlited[2799305]: Sleeping 30 seconds and will retry . ..

Hi,

I wanted to install kmod-hpsa on CloudLinux (CentOS 7.2/RHEL7), because it is needed for hp-snmp-agents to work. ((check_ilo2): Error Code (1) "CPQCIDRV driver is not loaded.")

The server is a ML310e Gen 8

This is what I got: Error:

Package: kmod-hpsa-3.4.20-136.rhel7u5.x86_64 (HP-spp)
           Requires: kernel(__x86_indirect_thunk_rax) = 0x2ea2c95c
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
~# uname -r
3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.5.17.1.el7.x86_64

Please, send me suggestions how to solve this.

This file is for a system running 7.x update 5 which uses kernel 3.10.0-862.el7.x86_64

the snmp agents should work with the hpsa driver included with the kernel you are running. What error are you getting from the snmp agents that prompted you to this upgrade path?

What disk controller are you using? The standard shipping controller Dynamic Smart Array B120i Controller does not use this driver. Does this system contain an optional Smart Array controller?

I've asked the data center to put a KVM console on the machine.

I can see a buch of "hpilo: Open could not dequeue a packet" errors. I did a restart on the server after updating all the packages. The errors came back.

I think I found the issue. When I reboot the server I get a message that the connection to iLO timed out (on the bios/system init. screen), so probably the iLO died in the server, but not sure. I haven't seen amber LED on the motherboard or power led.
