Hello vNabi,

First of all thanks for being so detailed in your question! The installation of the SAS expander is not related with the error message you received. It is likely that p410i cache (FBWC) has encountered a failure, which caused the backup to fail. I would strongly recommend to capture an ADU report & along with the screenshot log a case to HPE support. Likelihood, the recommendation you will receive will be to replace the cache module. The replacement procedure is pretty straight forward process & normally has no negative side effects to your data.

I have a DL380 G7 server, with P410 controller and a 1GB cache module.

I bought a SAS expander (468406-B21) and a new cage (516914-B21). I installed them with attention to cabling instruction. I powered on the server, I saw this POST message:

I found that cache module has been disabled. I updated the firmware using SPP G7.1 , but there is no change.

These are ADU screenshots:

I the ADU full reporti is here:

http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=68884460244949776100
