I have a DL380 G9 that displays the UUID as all zeros and no Serial number at all. It used to have a serial number displaying fine in iLO. How would I resolve this?

No, I've not changed the serial number. BIOS doesn't display it either.

Hello yaro137,

If you have physical access to the server, then you can find the serial number on the service tag. It is located in the front side of the server, check this link: HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server QuickSpecs to locate it.

Then from UEFI (F9 during POST) follow the below steps in order to enter again the serial number and the product ID:

From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > Advanced System ROM Options > Serial Number

From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > Advanced System ROM Options > Product ID
