How do you configure a P408i-a & a E208i-p smart array controllers in a dl360 gen10 server?

Having issues trying to create a RAID 1 for my OS on either one of these smart array controllers. Anyone have any insights?

Current Config:

DL360GEN10

P408i-a onboard & E208i-p in a PCI slot

2 300GB SAS 10K for OS / 8 900GB SAS 15K for DATA

Server 2016

Used the P11740_001_spp-2018.11.0-SPP2018110.2018_1114.38.iso for firmware/driver updates.

During POST you can press F9 to get into system configurtation, or F10 to start Intelligent Provisioning. Both methods provide a path to configure RAID arrays. F9 is quicker method. Select System Configuration - Next select the Smart Array contoller listed - then select Array Configuration and Create Array

This is destructive and will wipe out any data on the disks

Gen10 Smart Array controllers are mixed mode controllers, you can either create arrays, or just use the drives as single drives or a combination, but you need to create the array before installing the OS

Yes, this is what I've done but the drives come out all screwed up after the OS install. It's like for whatever reason the RAID 1 config that I do for the OS doesnt get configured correctly. Thanks!

Could you please share the actions that you take to configure RAID 1, step by step. Or, please share any screen shots of the issue that you see after installing the OS.

If you have collected any logs, it would be of a great help.
