Hi,

We have DL185 G5 12 disk and DL180 G6 12 disk servers which are currently used for backup/archival purposes (hence the 100 series).

Without going to too much expense (i.e. total server replacement) we would like RAID 6 + SSD (read/write) caching options on both. DL185 G5 has a P400 controller and backplane with SFF-8484 connectors and DL180 G6 has a P212 controller and backplane with SFF-8087 connectors.

What controller would have 12 disk, RAID 6 and SSD caching support out-of-the-box?

Thanks

This seems perfect. We were actually looking at Windows Storage Spaces but binned that because the backplane only has a single port so we can only ever connect one controller. We still want hardware RAID 1 for Windows OS so being able to do mixed-mode in one controller is brilliant.

Thanks!
