Might be easier to upgrade the iLO from the iLO's web interface. You can use the .bin file from the Windows package -- just logon to the iLO web interface, click on "Firmware & OS Software" on the left, then "Update Firmware" on the right, then upload the .bin file.

I have two ProLiant DL360 Gen10 servers. Both are currently on iLo5 firmware 1.37. I am attempting to update, it appears there is an update to 1.40. I have gone to HPE Support to download the update, but I am very confused on how to install this update. I tried to download the package that shows up under those search results (S independent: RECOMMENDED * Online ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (ilo5_140.fwpkg))

In order to install this the instructions say:
To flash this firmware package, use the following iLOrest command. See http://www.hpe.com/servers/resttool to download the latest version of the iLOrest tool.

If I try to download this though, there is only a Linux Version and Windows Version, but no Vcenter verion. I haven't worked on HP Servres before, but I feel like I'm missing something. Does anyone have any experience they can share with how to update the iLo Firmware in this setup? I have read and watched youtube videos when using Windows servers, but can't find much for Vcenter.

Thanks You.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was wondering if that would work. I will give it a shot.
