How to update Ilo firmware for DL380p Gen 8

Hello Members,

I have an HP Proliant DL380p running iLo firmware 2.4. I would like to upgrade it to 2.7b.

This box is an esxi host running vsphere 6.0. I have found an CP*.scexe file, but it is for Red Hat x64.

Would this file be the same for vsphere 6.0? Where would I expand this file? or would I copy the file to the esxi host via ssh, and do an "sh CPXXXX.scexe", etc.

Better get the Windowsversion, rxtract it and use the *.bin file within the web interface.

You can extract the firmware file from either the Linux rpm or the Windows download and update via the web interface
