    <description>&lt;P&gt;HI, I need your help with the following:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have an HP Proliant ML350 G10 with motherboard failure, with a raid 5 (Principal server)&lt;BR /&gt;I also have an HP Proliant ML350 G9 in reserve.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I want to know if there is any way to migrate the disks from the ML350 G10 to the ML350 G9 and be able to recover the data&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If the Gen9 server has the latest firmware updates for the Smart Array there is a chance the Gen9 server will recognise the Gen10 array, but it isn't a scenario that is tested. There could be features in newer controller that the Gen9 controller may not be able to handle. If you don't have a good backup, I'd wait for the replacmenet systemboard&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
