Can't install Windows 2016 on DL20 Gen9

During the windows 2016 fresh installation, no partition is detected and no configuration can be made so the

installation on DL20 Gen9 can't go further. Please advise.

Array setup:

Smart HBA H240

RAID 1 with 2 x 500GB SSD

Hi,
Please confirm in which mode the H240 is running : HBA mode or simple RAID mode
How was RAID Created?
Are you able to see the RAID from SSA - Smart Storage Administrator?

I guess I have created a simple RAID 1 from 2 x samsung 860 EVO SSD in Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) for a 500GB logical drive.

1 Logical device is shown under the controller devcies(Smart HBA H240 - Slot 2) in SSA 3.10.3.0

Hi,

Please try to install Manually and check.

Keep the Driver downlaoded ready : https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_90b6d3b309174d6f86065034ff&swEnvOid=4231#tab-history during installation.
You may need to inject the file manually.

Hi,

To add we understad that Windows 2008 was installed successfully.

If possible try downloading a new windows 2016 installation files and try a fresh installation.

A late reply, but I hope this could help anyone who is facing this issue.

I had the same exact issue and have been troubleshooting for the past day, and below solution is what worked for me:

Simply extract RAID Controller Driver to your bootable USB. And, during windows installation > choose disk window, click "Browse" and install the extracted driver.
