Hello,

I want to disable ALH because of homelab usage / no more warranty. Also the history of wear and tear of the iLO NAND on earlier firmware versions I would prevent any further unneccessary write actions on the NAND.
Just to save iLO from dying on me <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

Fortunately iLO v2.76 doest the trick, ALH keeps being disabled after iLO reset / Server (aux) boot.
Ofcourse nothing mentioned of this in the release notes .. but ok .. <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI> i will forgive HPE.

Case solved!

Hello,
I have 2 DL380Gen8p's for my homelab and to save the iLO NAND from wear and tear I would like to disable 'Active Health System Logging'.

I did disable (on both servers) 'Active Health System Logging' but I do notice that after a 'reset' (reboot) of the iLO subsystem the 'Active Health System Logging' keeps enabling itself.
I also tried an 'Auxiliary Power-Cycle' (with RESTApi) but again, enabled after logging in.

"ID","Severity","Last Update","Initial Update","Count","Description",
"4536","Informational","10/23/2020 14:30","10/23/2020 14:30","1","Browser login: Administrator - 192.168.178.30(mypc.local.com).",
"4535","Informational","10/23/2020 14:29","10/23/2020 14:29","1","iLO network link up at 1000 Mbps.",
"4534","Caution","10/23/2020 14:29","10/23/2020 14:29","1","iLO reset by user diagnostics.",
"4533","Informational","10/23/2020 14:28","10/23/2020 14:28","1","Active Health System logging disabled by: Administrator.",
"4532","Informational","10/23/2020 14:28","10/23/2020 14:28","1","Active Health System logging enabled by: Administrator.",
"4531","Informational","10/23/2020 14:28","10/23/2020 14:28","1","Event log cleared by: Administrator.",

I think this wasn't the case with an earlier firmware but I am too lazy to revert <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

Does anybody else with a Gen8/9 (both iLO4) with firmware v2.75 see this same behavior?

Regards,
Arian!
