P824i-p MR ILO5 configuration

Hello dear,

I have some question for "P824i-p MR" Gen10 Controller:

1: how we can find hard drive serial numbers throw ILO or oneview? in "System Information-Storage Information" just show raid controller name!

2: would be possible to use HBA mode on P824i?

Hi amirgilan,

P824i-p MR Gen10 Controller work in Mixed Mode (RAID logic drives and HBA physical drives simultaneously )

Hi amirgilan,

To check the hard drive details from ILO ,

Login to ILO>>then go to "System Information">>Select "Storage Tab">> and you can see all the Hard Drive details which is attached to the HPE Smart Array P824i-p MR controller .

If you Select each Hard Drive and you can see the HDD model , serial number and the firmware versions in the same page.

Hi amirgilan,

I would suggest to update the HPE Smart Array P824i-p MR controller firmware to the latest version if it is not updated yet.

>>Then remove and Re-seat the controller
>>re-connect the cables from the controller to the Hard drive backplane
>>Verify and if still you are not able to see the hard drive details in ILO ,you need to log a support case with HPE to do further investigation and log analysis

Hi dear Sebasbin,

I have checked 3 P824i Raid controller with 3 diffrent servers, I installed the latest firmware "24.23.0-0043"
I can see hard drive and serial numbers of servers in os, but I couldn't see it on ILO.

How I can solve this issue?
