      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm wondering what could be the advantage of having 2 Smart Array controllers, for example an &lt;STRONG&gt;E208i-A + E208iP&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What are the possibile uses for a configuration such as this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was talking about this with a client that wants to use GlusterFS but i don't really know how it would work.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;you can connect more Disk Drives without using a SAS Expander.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You have more Read Cache (The E Modell have only Read Cache).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you do a Software Raid 1&amp;nbsp; split to both Controllers, then one Controller can fail, without loss of Data access.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In practice, I prefer one controller because then I don't have two disk pools.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cali&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
