You have to purchase the license and register the License Activation Key within the iLO under the Administration and Licensing.

iLO licenses are available directly from Hewlett Packard Enterprise and from Hewlett Packard Enterprise sales partners. The best way to obtain an iLO license is to purchase the software license at the same time you purchase your server.

HPE iLO licenses do not expire. They are valid for the life of the server on which they are installed.
