Smart Array s100i Gen10 SW RAID, drivers not found during Windows 2019 std install

Good Morn! I am new to HPE servers and struggling with something that Should be simple.

I try to install windows 2019 std. I get to the part where I need to add the drivers for the smart Array, but .... no matter which version drivers I chooose, the message 'no new devices drivers were found'

Next I tried using IP. It completes the firmware update (not sure why it has to run this everytime), reboots, then gives me an error 80 during the Windows install part and does not advance past 0%

I know it must be something super simple, but I am new to HPE and my past experience is woefully insufficient.

What should I be checking? If you need more information from me, please let me know. I do not mind providing it.

Thanks for the response. I am on phone with HPE going over these exact steps to no avail. They ended up taking some logs and said they will call me back

Sadly I was unable to get Smart Array drivers to work during winows server 2019 install. I worked with HPE support all day and tried approx 9 different driver versions as well updating the Bios, the ilo and installed a jumbo 10GB firmware service pack.

I ended up using legacy bios and the drive controller in AHCA installed Windows Server and continued with my project.

Definitely a first and last time a mess with HPE.

Had the same issue. MicroServer Gen10+ with (according to QuickSpecs and iLO) S100i SR SW RAID.

However all the HPE downloads for this server, and any searches for S100i resulted in downloads for SR100i SW RAID. At first I assumed they were interchangable as I could not get an S100i version to appear anywhere in the KB Support Center downloads.

However found an old PDF that linked me to:

This is a download for S100i SW RAID and this worked perfectly.

Similar issue. MicroServer Gen10+ with S100i SR SW RAID, trying to install Windows Server 2019 Essentials. None of the drivers I tried worked (cp037222, cp030473, cp048017).

In the end my problem was not the drivers itself, but the way I created a bootable USB drive from an ISO file.

If you come across this issue, make sure you created your USB drive in accordance with your BIOS settings (UEFI of Legacy). One I recreated my USB drive using rufus (https://rufus.ie) in UEFI mode, the driver (I believe cp037222) got accepted and I was able to install the OS.

Going through HPE and drilling down to the the 'storage controller' gave me every controller under the sun apart from the S100i.
