      <title>DL160 G8 - Second CPU - System Power Fault</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've started receiving a no-boot condition on one HP DL160 Gen8.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have diagnosed through substitution that the error is only present when TWO CPUs are installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This appears to be common in the Gen8 range, I have seen many other posts in the community where servers stop booting with a second CPU installed, however none of them match the Error ID I have.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It would be really wonderful if someone (@SunhilSingh ?) could run their magic decoder on my error code, and let me know where to look.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here's what I've done:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;a) Reset CMOS.&lt;BR /&gt;b) Updated BIOS, ILO&lt;BR /&gt;c) Swapped CPU into other chassis - CPU is good.&lt;BR /&gt;d) Tried spare CPU in faulty chassis - fault remains&lt;BR /&gt;e) Tested all RAM in other chassis - RAM is good&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I pull the 2nd CPU, the machine will run okay.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The error code in full is as follows:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;System Power Fault Detected (XR: 3C 00 MID: FE 3C 9C 24 F0 FF 00 15 15 00 00 00 40 3F 00 20 00 00 85 00 F0 03 70 43 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It would be very much appreciated if anyone can help me and tell me what this means.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you so much&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Niddnet&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;Can you confirm the CPU were swapped within the server and if the fault followed the CPU or the slot?&lt;/P&gt;
