topic SUM on DL360 G10 running CentOS with no GUI in HPE ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

Having only previously installed the updates via the web browser and GUI, doing it from an SSH prompt seems impossible and I'm tearing my hear out.

DL360 G10 with basic CentOS install. CLI only, no X10 / GUI available.

I have the P45316_001_gen10spp-2021.10.0 ISO mounted.

But no matter what I try, nothing works.

running ./launch_sum.sh doesn't work as no browser / GUI

running ./packages/smartupdate doesn't work - "Error: cannot launch browser"

running ./packages/smartupdate --s doesn't work - "Error: Cannot get a valid session. Please check whether the server is running".

Further more detailed options on the above yields same check server is running problem.

How impossibly difficult does this have to be?

Finally managed to get it working.

It turned out a previous SUM process was still running and I had to kill it before relaunching ./packages/smartupdate --s --use_location "/mnt/iso/packages".

Takes quite a while to complete with just a hanging prompt, there's no feedback, but after like 30 minutes, I received a Deploy completed message and the prompt returned. I will reboot later to confirm all firmware packages have been updated.
