      <title>Best memory configuration</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to configure my DL380 G6 with the most RAM I can for the best value vs. cost.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In reading the documentation, guidelines must be followed based on the rank and speed of the RAM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Quad rank will only allow 2 sticks and dual rank will allow 3 but the RAM runs slower.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm still learning servers which is the reason for my home lab but in my experience, more RAM means better performance but with the RAM slowed down it seems the performance would be affected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So would less RAM give better performance if I used the quad rank?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I run a G7 with 216GB total and it is has been deliverying great performance to date.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
